# Cannot Authorize Gmail

 * I have gone through all the steps to use GMail but when I click the “**_Allow
   plugin to send emails using your Google account_**” button I get:
   **Access blocked:
   wpmailsmtp.com has not completed the Google verification processwpmailsmtp.com
   has not completed the Google verification process. The app is currently being
   tested and can only be accessed by developer-approved testers. If you think you
   should have access, contact the developer.If you are a developer of wpmailsmtp.
   com, see error details.Error 403: access_denied

   Thanks for reaching
   out.This error usually means your **app** is set to **Testing** mode. To resolve
   it, you’ll have to **publish** your **app** as shown in the Google mailer setup
   guide.
 * In case you haven’t done this already, within your Google [Console](https://console.cloud.google.com/apis)
   project, please head over to the **OAuth Consent screen **section and then click**
   Make External **to publish your app.
 * You can follow the steps in our guide [here](https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-set-up-the-gmail-mailer-in-wp-mail-smtp/#Updating_the_Publishing_Status_From_Testing_to_Production)
   as well.
 * Back in your WordPress admin area, you’ll need to connect to your Google account
   again by heading over to **WP Mail SMTP > Settings **and clicking on the [button](https://a.supportally.com/FCADBa)
   labeled **Allow plugin to send emails using your Google account**.
