Cannot change fields in comment area

    Hi,

    I am running wp 3.0.1 and the theme evening-shade. I have tried for hours to translate the text for the comment field. I want to translate “leave reply”, “One Response to”, “Logged in as…” and “submit comment”.

    I have used google and tried some tricks and also read threads here, but problem is not solved.

    I have tried changing text in comments.php, page.php and comment-template.php but no success.

    Does anyone know the solution?

    When you say “translate” – are you trying to run WordPress in Swedish, for example? Have you checked this out?

    Yep, I run wp in swedish 🙂

    I think I have come to a solution. I deactivated a plugin called “paged-comments” and the comment function disappeared. Then i activated it again and it came back.

    Then I guessed that the lang. files is stored in some folder of the plugin, and there it was.

    I am not sure why the function does not work without the “paged-cmments” plugin, but I am glad it works anyhow 🙂 And the translation as well 🙂
