 * After the last update, the plugin prevents me from moving past the 2 factor settings
   page. I can log in but it takes me to the 2 factor settings. I cannot change
   them. When I try to access anything else I get page unavailable. I cannot deactivate.
   I cannot access the site.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fcannot-deactivate-10%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * Hello [@seekerproject4se](https://wordpress.org/support/users/seekerproject4se/)
 * I am sorry to read about your issue. Can you please try to log in using a [browser in Incognito mode](https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95464)?
   In the last update we have changed some scripts and it could be that some are
   cached in your browser.
 * Are you able to log in? If you still cannot log in, can you please share some
   screenshots of what you accessing? You said you can see the 2FA settings, but
   cannot change them? Do you mean you are logged in to the website and can see
   the plugin’s settings?
 * The more details you can share the easier it will be to assist you. Please do
   not share any sensitive data on these public forums. If you need to share sensitive
   information, such as URLs or screenshots that show email addresses etc, please
   share them over email by sending us an email at [support@melapress.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cannot-deactivate-10/support@melapress.com?output_format=md).
 * Looking forward to hearing from you.

 * Hello [@seekerproject4se](https://wordpress.org/support/users/seekerproject4se/)!
 * Just a quick note to let you know that we’ve released WP 2FA version 2.9.1, which
   restores the previous login flow by default (the same one used in version 2.8.1
   and earlier).
 * We also wanted to note that this update may help resolve some of the issues that
   were reported under different symptoms — such as login or redirect problems —
   which we now suspect were all related to the same underlying cause which has
   now been addressed.
 * To elaborate a bit on what we did: the REST-based verification method introduced
   recently is now optional and can be enabled manually from the plugin’s Settings
   page, if needed. We’re really sorry for any confusion or inconvenience caused
   by the earlier change, and we truly appreciate your patience.
 * Please update to the latest version and let us know how it goes — we’re standing
   by if you need anything else.
