Cannot delete bucket on S3 from Updraft

    I was sending backups to S3 for an old site I was running. I no longer have access to this site and I forgot to turn off the backups so it’s still sending backups to me. I tried deleting the bucket in S3 but that didn’t work… the bucket keeps coming back. Is there a way to resolve this?

    Hi,

    I’ve never come across that one before! You could do a number of things. The best would be to cycle your AWS access key so that the ‘old’ one is no longer valid for anything. Since you’ve lost control of it, and since a third-party has access to it, they could do some significant ‘damage’ to your AWS account, depending on how powerful that key is. You’ll have to replace the key on other sites that you’re using it, of course.
