I have 4 slides and the last one is locked. I unlock it and save. View the page. Then when I go back in the editor the slide is there with a lock. I have deactivated plugins, cleared cache and changed themes. Then I save and it comes back. I did it under the list view and the contexual toolbar. The only work around is to create a new slider/carousel and recreate the slides.
