# Cannot do refund – grayed out!!!!

 * Trying to give a refund but the field is all grayed out. It’s always worked before
   but doesn’t now.
 * I saw someone else was having this problem but updating and clearing the cache
   helped them… that didn’t help me. I tried from multiple browsers and have cleared
   the cache.

 * This field being grey and not be able to fill it is actually working as expected.
 * You should put the amount to be refunded on the products and the total amount
   will show on this field.
 * Here’s a screenshot:

 * As you can see on the first example I opted to refund the full amount for the
   Album. On the second example I refunded the full Album, but only part of the 
   price for the Beanie.
 * On the refund amount field it shows the total that will be refunded.
