# Cannot Edit Single-Product.php template

 * Hello everyone,
 * I’d like to edit the layout of my single product pages in woocommerce. I had 
   some issues finding the right file to edit, but using the plugin What the File
   I was able to locate the right file.
 * Unfortunately, when I try to edit single-product.php, I receive the message “
   Sorry, that file cannot be edited”.
 * I’m not sure why this is the case, any help would be great!

 * Even if you find a way to modify that file directly, I’d still strongly advise
   against doing it that way – you’d be changing core WooCommerce files, and your
   changes will be overwritten when WooCommerce next updates.
 * Instead, you’ll want to look into overriding that template, which involves making
   a copy that WooCommerce will look at instead of the original. Here’s how to get
