# Cannot enable comments

 * I use Hello theme by elementor and elementor for styling. I am trying to enable
   comments for Tasty WP recipe cards but i cannot figure out how to enable them.
   I do not have the discussion menu item under my settings menu. I do not see discussion
   checkboxes in my screen options. I found a snippet of code online that adds the
   discussion menu item to my settings menu (in case my theme got rid of it), and
   that worked, however when I click on it i get taken to an error page that simply
   says comments are disabled. I already checked my functions.php file for code 
   i may have forgotten I placed to disabled comments functions across my site but
   I did not find any. I do not know why or how my comments are disabled and I cannot
   see anything discussion related across my site.

   I understand that you are having trouble enabling comments for Tasty WP cards
   on your website. To enable comments, go to your **Dashboard** > **Settings**,
   then **Discussion**. You’ll find an option that says, **“Allow people to post
   comments on new articles.”** Check this box and any other settings according 
   to your preferences.If you require further assistance, you can contact the support

 * Thank you for your response, however, as I stated in my original post I do not
   have access to the discussion tab content.
