# Cannot enable two authentication methods at the same time

 * Hi, I notice that the users can only activate either email or 2FA. But I remember
   the users can choose to use either one of the methods by the time I download 
   the plugin. Kindly clarify.

 * WP 2FA was always like that; you can only set up one method and then configure
   the backup codes as a backup login method.
 * Maybe that feature was in another plugin? I can confirm that we never had such
   a feature.

 * I guess it becomes a premium feature as ‘Secondary 2FA backup method’ is only
   in Premium

 * Yes, in the Premium edition you can have different methods as secondary 2FA methods,
   but in the Free edition you have the backup codes, which is still a good viable
   solution.
