# Cannot export CSV

 * Hello,
 * Using Version 2.1.8, WP 6.0.1, PHP 7.4.
 * When I click Export, it reloads the page and noting else happens – no download.
 * I keep seeing warning notice:
    Participants Database:
 * The configured uploads directory “/home/hepfb/public_html/wp-content/uploads/
   participants-database/” for Participants Database is not writable. This means
   that plugins file uploads will fail, check the Participants Database “File Upload
   Location” setting for the correct path.
 * I already checked the folder has 777 permission, but no export possible.
 * —
 * UPDATE: it appears that it won’t download in Firefox. No problem in Edge/Chrome
   browser

 * There have been other posts about the “not writable” message. The permissions
   setting isn’t the only thing to check. In general 777 is not needed, and doesn’t
   work as expected on many servers for security reasons. You may want to ask your
   hosting provider about this to get things set up correctly.
 * The Firefox issue you’re seeing may be in your specific browser security settings,
   it’s working fine using Firefox in my tests here.
