# Cannot find WPCode Setting even though plugin is installed

 * Recently on my WordPress site the WPCode plugin is not listed under installed
   plugins. I cannot see the code via the menu at all. The plugin is installed. 
   The GTM code is working. If I try to add the plugin, it says it’s installed.

 * For the last several months I’m getting a code snippet injected into my site 
   that is a Trojan horse. I will delete it normally and the site is fine for a 
   few weeks. It’s happening now. I cant get to the codes that are active to remove
   it.
 * So my question, how to restore the menu items missing? Why do I keep getting 
   malicious code with this plugin?

 * Update: Accessing my site in Safe Mode allowed me to see WPCode
   `https://example.
   com/wp-admin/?wpcode-safe-mode=1`There again there was an malicious “Untitled”
   Snippet. So how can I prevent these? As soon as I remove the snippet the site
   is fine but crops up.

 * I’m sorry you ran into that issue. Unfortunately, the only way to get rid of 
   this issue is to find the source of the exploit that is being used to make these
   changes and stop that which in most cases means you will need to reach out to
   your hosting provider first.
 * In many cases, the plugin is automatically installed by attackers which means
   that they can execute code on your server.
