# Cannot generate preview without saving

 * I am testing Gutenberg on my site. I am finding when I make an edit then try 
   to preview
    I get “generating preview please wait” on white screen. But it never
   previews but just hangs with this message. Only by “saving draft” , can I preview
   the edit.
 * This is different behaviour compared to the “classic” editor
    ie make edit – 
   can preview that edit without needing to “save draft” each time.

 * Are you still experiencing these issues in Gutenberg 3.1.0? This issue was addressed
   in this release so I’d love to hear if you might be experiencing issues relating
   to it still.

 * Hello thanks for your replies. I have just ensured I have updated to the latest
   version and it appears this issue does not occur for me now.
