# Cannot generate the shortcode

 * I like Mapme very much!
 * I have tried to generate a shortcode with the plugin, but the page reloads and
   the field stays empty.
 * I have tested in two different servers.
 * Latest WordPress / X-theme.
 * Is this a known issue?

 * Did you try to embed the Mapme code directly without the pluggin? Could you the
   chat support, it’s usually easier to resolve issues through the chat.

 * Hi, thank you for your fast response!
 * The code gets stripped off upon saving the page, but I have solved it by creating
   my own shortcode with Post Snippets plugin.
 * Probably some local issue. Works beautifully now. 🙂
