 * Hi,
 * I installed “Admin Menu Editor” hoping to do the following things among others,
   but couldn’t:
 * 1. I would like to give a couple of people access to my site wirh ‘administrator’
   privileges (with slightly reduced capabilities though). But I would like to ensure
   that they don’t intentionally or accidentally delete or edit me (my user account)
   from the ‘Users’ section. I created a user account for myself with a custom role(
   administrator clone) where ALL capabilities were ticked / turned on, and administrator-
   clone accounts for them where some capabilities are turned off. But still, I
   cannot prevent them from the capability of deleting or editing my user account/
   listing, or even hiding it from them. I can probably prevent them from accessing
   the ‘Users’ section / listing from the Admin menu altogether by denying list_user
   capability, but I need them to be able to use the ‘Users’ section and add/delete/
   manage *other* users – just not me! I tried the “Admin Menu Editor” plugin, but
   it too seems unable to hide or lock specific users.
 * So, how can I achieve my goal? How can I hide a specific user (me) from everybody
   else or lock it from getting deleted or edited by anybody else with admin access?
   Is it possible through “Admin Menu Editor”, or is there any other plugin for
   this or can it be done in any other way?
 * 2. This question is also somewhat similar to the above. How can I lock (not hide)
   certain or all pre-existing plugins (installed by me) from getting deleted, edited,
   or deactivated by my ‘guest admins’. They should be able to UPDATE them though
   or install and activate new ones, when necessary. Is this possible through “Admin
   Menu Editor”? Or is there any other plugin for this or can it be done in any
   other way?
 * 3. I tried to hide some admin menu items from my ‘guest admins’, some of these
   worked, but some menus got hidden even from my own account with maximum possible
   capabilities! What’s going on here?
 * # I am new to WordPress, so any easy-to-understand reply will be much appreciated.
 * Thanks.

 * There’s no way to do that with this plugin. There might be some role editing
   plugin that supports such granular permissions, but I can’t think of any off
   the top of my head.

 * Again, there’s no way to do that with Admin Menu Editor. This plugin only works
   with admin menus. You could hide the “Plugins” menu, but that’s about it.
 * There are plugins that let you hide individual plugins (e.g. [Hide Plugins](https://wordpress.org/plugins/hide-plugins/)),
   but they generally don’t provide a way to selectively enable/disable individual
   plugin actions like “update”.

 * That’s probably a configuration issue. How exactly did you hide these menus?
   Did you change the required capability, and, if so, what capability did you use?
