# Cannot import XML file

 * I have tried and tried again to upload the XML file I’d made from my WP site,
   which I was attempting to use on a newly hosted version of the site. I keep getting
   a message that it is a blank file. After rather a lot of wasted time on attempts
   and breaking the file into smaller and smaller pieces, I have given up. I just
   lost ten years worth of work, and I’m not happy.

 * I have a similar problem. I just uploaded the xml file of an old WordPress website,
   it’s about 1 MB so not even close to the maximum of 8 MB. But it takes for ever
   to upload. After almost half an hour the system is still loading… And I can’t
   find any time indicator whatsoever.
 * I noticed that the latest version of the plugin is from October, but the newest
   WordPress version is more recent. So… might that be causing the plugin to fail?
 * Please update the plugin or do whatever is needed to debug – I really need the
   old blogposts for my client to work.

 * Okay… the upload succeeded. I had to be more patient, but I still think an indicator
   is a must have so others won’t panic or create unnecessary support threads 😉
