 * Trying to set-up 4.7 on Windows 10 Home, Abyss Web Server X1(v 2.11.2) with HeidiSQL(
   9.4.0.5125) as DB Server.
 * I am hosting my wife’s site on a home computer. Everything is working great. 
   Now she would like to use WordPress for her forum. I am a basic user, please 
   be kind with terms and instructions.

 * yes, now it comes up with:
    HTTP 500 error That’s odd… the website can’t display
   this page The site may be under maintenance or could have a programming error.

 * Should I be using another database server? If so, is there an easy one to setup,
   run and provide admin?

 * 1. Can you able to access the admin panel ? If so, try updating permalinks from
   Settings -> Permalinks option.
 * 2. If #1 is not possible, try deleting your .htaccess file ( mostly hidden by
   default, do ‘Show hidden files’) and try to access your backend /wp-admin
 * 3. If #1 is possible, try switching to default themes to rule out if it because
   of any broken themes.
 * 4. If #1, #2, #3 is not valid, try installing the fresh WP with new database.

 * HeidiSQL uses MySQL so that shouldn’t be an issue.

 * It’s possible there is a problem with directory permissions. Check if you have
   permissions

 * It’s also possible the database driver (HeidiSQL) don’t work well.
 * Did you try that on a full linux stack? (LAMP/LEMP)? With full MySQL of course–
   > then translate (not in local webserver, in a real vps or cloud).
