# Cannot log into Admin

 * Hello, I am using wordpress 8.1. , I cannot log into admin. I attempted to login
   from cpanel and still cannot log in. The page just goes into a loading loop. 
   I deleted cookies, cleared browser cache, used private browser, even tried vpn
   to see if different ip address may work. I have attached an image of what happens
   once access is gained. Page is not functional. I uninstalled the installation
   and reinstalled and still the same thing. Any ideas? I’ve never dealt with this
   before. Thank you for your help.

 * I hope you are doing well.
 * That could also be caused by a plugin or theme, could you try the following?
 * Make sure you have a full backup in your cPanel
    Using cPanel > File manager 
   > public_html ( or any location you have your site ), navigate to wp-content 
   folder, rename the plugins folder to _plugins, try the wp-admin again.
 * If it works means a plugin is the fault, then you can create a fresh “plugins”
   folder and move one plugin each time from _plugins to plugins new folder, each
   time log out and in back until the problem returns.
 * Note, while running this test do not access wp-admin > plugins so your plugins
   will remain enabled when you move them back.
 * A safer way to do the test is using the Staging in case you have the WP Tool 
   in your cPanel.
 * I also recommend checking the htaccess file and trying to rename it and create
   a fresh one with WordPress rules [https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/server/web-server/httpd/](https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/server/web-server/httpd/)
