# cannot log into WordPress

 * I recently moved my site to a new host, I managed to get the wordpress blog running,
   ie. database etc but I can’t log into my Admin page. In fact when I click my 
   link to the admin log-in all I get is a blank page. I can go to my blog page 
   and click the “Log In” link I can see the Log in entry boxes but when I try to
   log in I get a :”**Error:** Cookies are blocked due to unexpected output.” I 
   clicked the “please see this documentation” link all it was is how to turn on
   cookies< my cookies are already turned on also 3rd party cookies, I tried the“
   Lost your Password?” link but it just takes me to another blank page

 * Try [manually resetting your plugins](https://wordpress.org/support/article/faq-troubleshooting/#how-to-deactivate-all-plugins-when-not-able-to-access-the-administrative-menus)(
   no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one
   individually until you find the cause.
 * If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via [SFTP or FTP](https://wordpress.org/support/article/ftp-clients/),
   or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to `/wp-content/
   themes/` and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force
   the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (
   theme functions can interfere like plugins).

 * That worked! I had to use the ‘rename plugin folder’ method as I first tried 
   the myphpadmin method but …”In the table wp_options, under the _option\_name_
   column (field) find the _active\_plugins_ row”… I had no active-plugins in the
   option name column…

 * **1. Check `wp-config.php` for extra spaces**
 * **2. Enable Debug Mode for Errors**
 * **3. Rename Plugins Folder**
 * **4. Check `.htaccess`**
 * **5. Check for BOM in Theme Files**
 * Now apply for fixes and let me know if it works for you
