# Cannot make notes on tasks

 * Our employees are having difficulty making notes on tasks in Project Manager.
   When an employee tries to add a note, they receive and error in red at the top
   of the page: “required comment content.” They did not have this error before.
 * We have not made any changes to permissions or settings. Have there been any 
   changes to permissions, comment content, or settings?
 * Please assist us in finding the problem and fixing it.

 * Hi Steve,
 * The comment content field is required to do a comment/note in a task. So, if 
   you add a new comment without filling the comment content field then you will
   see an error in red at the top of the page: “Required comment content” as you
   can see the video clip by clicking this link [https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwIqjFyTwfyMWExCYTFxdzZPbjg/view](https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwIqjFyTwfyMWExCYTFxdzZPbjg/view).
   
   If you see the error **“Required comment content”** after filling the comment
   content field then please let me know that I can help you.
