# Cannot Moderate Comments

 * A sudden problem, coming out of nowhere with no changes to theme or WP itself:
 * I can see that I have Pending comments, but when I click to see them for approval,
   none will display. Can see older comments that have already undergone moderation.
   My site is regularly swept for security (Sucuri does this) and there is no sign
   of any hacking and no other problems.
 * I also notice that when I click to view the 36 spam comments now in queue, I 
   can’t see them either. Items in the trash do appear.
 * Am actually showing WordPress 3.8.4, but the box above didn’t have that option.
   Also running the Thesis theme version 1.8.
 * Any help would be appreciated.

 * Try again with all of your browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
   If that fixes the issue, re-activate each one individually until you find the
   cause.
 * I use [a browser extension to hide comments](http://stevenf.com/shutupcss/) on
   other sites, but it also hides all of the comments in my Dashboard unless I whitelist
   my site.

 * Thanks! Problem just now solved. I discovered there was an error in the comments
   database in MySQL. Was able to repair it and things now seem restored. But thanks
   for your thoughts on this, James. Much appreciated.
