 * I recently had an issue with a rogue plugins that made my WordPress install not
work correctly. I renamed my plugins folder, created a new one and was slowly
adding plugins them back in to find the culprit. When I moved Powerpress back
in and attempted to activate it, I got this error:
 * Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home5/doctorf1/public_html/
   wp-content/plugins/powerpress/powerpress.php on line 3073
 * I then downloaded a fresh copy of Powerpress and installed that but when I activated
it, I got the same error:
 * Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home5/doctorf1/public_html/
   wp-content/plugins/powerpress/powerpress.php on line 3073
 * The only think I didn’t try was deleting the plugin via the plugin manager because
it said I’d lose all my data as well. I have hundreds of podcast episodes, I’d
rather not lose the data. Right now my episodes are not available on my site
because I can’t reactivate the plugin.

 * Deactivate PowerPress and reinstall it (it’s OK to do this; PowerPress keep its
settings in your WordPress database, the settings won’t be lost).
 * If the error persists, deactivate all plugins and then activate PowerPress first.
If the error doesn’t come up, then the problem is due to a conflict with a plugin
outside of PowerPress. If it does come up again, please let us know.

 * Thanks Shawn.
 * I deleted the plugin. Deactivated all the other plugins (I only have 4). Installed
PowerPress new and went to activate JUST Powerpress and still received this error:
 * Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home5/doctorf1/public_html/
   wp-content/plugins/powerpress/powerpress.php on line 3073
 * I also completely reinstalled WordPress 5.1.1 and still received the same error
   when activating PowerPress by itself.

 * WordPress 7.4.2 was just released. Please install this version of the plugin
and try activating it. If the problem doesn’t go away, please respond back here
   and let us know.
