Title: Cannot save theme options Last modified: August 22, 2016 --- # Cannot save theme options * [Stachelfreund](https://wordpress.org/support/users/stachelfreund/) * (@stachelfreund) * [11 years, 2 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cannot-save-theme-options/) * I have installed Avada R2.1.1 Theme in WP 4.1.1 and cannot save the theme options any more nore can I upgrade the theme. When I try to save the connection brakes off (the site seems to hang itself up). When I then try to access it through http the site appears with a lot of error messages in between the lines. wp-login does not work anymore, then. I then have to go in through ftp and restore the directory completely to get it back running. * After copying the site to a clean server it worked again. Unfortunately, I got to get the site back to normal on the server, which it is running on now (german provider called 1&1). * Any ideas out there what to do? Me (and the hotline and 1&1) are a bit clueless 😉 * Tx!
