 * I’m trying to set up a calendar using Private Google Calendars, and have set
   up the Google Developers Console Calendar API and OAuth client id. However, when
   I try to add the API key and add the client secret by uploading the JSON file,
   it then asks me to choose an account, and when I do it gives me the following:
 * > This app isn’t verified
   > This app hasn’t been verified by Google yet. Only
   > proceed if you know and trust the developer.
   > If you’re the developer, submit a verification request to remove this screen.
   > Learn more
 * I’ve been tearing out my hair trying to figure out how to overcome this.
 * Note that I managed to set this up for [https://uucm.org](https://uucm.org) (
   see earlier forum topic) where you helped me a lot. This situation should be
   similar, with one perhaps significant difference:
 * The calendar in question is one from [milfordchorus@google.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cannot-set-pgc-settings/milfordchorus@google.com?output_format=md),
   while I’m trying to set up the calendar display from our website at [https://souheganvalleychorus.org](https://souheganvalleychorus.org).
   There’s no calendar to show on the website because I haven’t been able to set
   up PGC as a result of this problem.
 * All the convoluted explanations that Google provides on app verification are
   not helpful in the least. I’ve looked at the OAuth Consent Screen until I’m blue
   in the face, and can’t see what I need to change to make this work.
 * I appreciate any help you can provide on this. Suggestions on what to change,
   etc.
 * Thank you in advance.
 * Bryan

 * Well, I managed to get it working by going to [https://developers.google.com/calendar/quickstart/js](https://developers.google.com/calendar/quickstart/js)
   and clicking on the blue buttons. I’m not sure how this was different, but it
   seemed to work. The JSON file that this created worked in the PGC plugin.
 * But I’m still curious about whatever you can tell me about what I was doing wrong
   before.
 * Thanks!

 * Hi,
    You did nothing wrong. The message “This app isn’t verified” etc. appears
   because your Google project (or app as Google calls it) isn’t verified by Google.
   It is harmless and only you see it once when you give permission to access the
   Google calendar. You can ask Google to verify your app/project if you want. Best,
   Michiel
