# Cannot setup JetPack – cURL error 18

 * Hi,
 * I’m in the process of setting up a new website and I’ve gone to install JetPack
   and I am getting the following error:
 * The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [https://celeb-media.com](https://celeb-media.com)[
   IXR -32300: transport error: http_request_failed cURL error 18: transfer closed
   with outstanding read data remaining]
 * Can anyone help with this?

 * Hi there,
 * This is a connection error. Contact your hosting provider and ask them to unblock
   your xmlrpc.php file. This is needed for Jetpack to connect to WordPress.com.
 * If the XMLRPC file is unblocked and you’re still getting this error, make sure
   to disable any security plugins you might have installed and try again.
