# Cannot setup Jetpack on vanilla WordPress

 * I am unable to setup JetPack on a new dev site.
    2020 theme, no extra plugins.
 * Error receiving:
 * The registration secrets sent by your site do not match the ones the Jetpack 
   server
    has on record.
 * SSL cert receives a A grade.
    xmlrpc.php is remotely accessible.
 * Also [https://tools.jetpack.com/debug/](https://tools.jetpack.com/debug/) returns
   with:
 * Debug
    Unknown error
 * An unknown error has occurred.
 * If you continue to get this error, please check out our troubleshooting guide
   or contact support.

 * When I run your site through the debugger I get an XML-RPC error.
 * If you are using any security plugins, please try connecting with those temporarily
   deactivated. If you don’t have any, or if that didn’t work, I would suggest contacting
   your hosting provider and asking them to unblock your site’s XML-RPC.
