# Cannot turn comments on

 * I cannot get the comments to turn on. I have always made my templates so that
   comments php line is turned off but now I would like people to be able to comment.
   I checked all of the boxes in the Discussion Options screen and searched all 
   other areas for things related to comments and still comments show as off. I 
   must be missing something simple. Please help

 * I was actually going to post this same question… My comments are on (from admin
   panel) but when someone clicks to comment on a blog, the message is that they
   are closed.
 * Anybody know of a fix? thanks!
 * Also, montyman, if you figure this out could you please post the answer. thanks
   man
