# CANNOT UPDATE 3.8.3.

    I’ve tried to update my WPress, but no go. Below is the error msg I get. 
   I went into host with filezilla & tried changing permissions, but also no go.
   Please help Craig

 * Have you tried to [manually update](https://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress#Manual_Update)
   your WordPress installation?
 * If you’re not comfortable with that you can ask your hosting company to look 
   into the issue. 🙂
