 * I created a custom field, but cannot add text to it in the Product Settings.
   The field is shown on the product page but anything added to the field just gets
   removed when I press “Save Changes”.
 * I had changed the “Name” of the custom field, and since that the problem has
   occured. If I manually create a database record in UPCP_Custom_Fields linking
   the product and the custom field, the custom field data shows in the product
   page, but as soon as I edit it and click “Save Changes”, the field gets deleted
   from the UPCP_Custom_Fields database.
 * Looks like a bug. Help please!

 * Hi itw,
 * What type of custom field is it? What did you call it? If it’s a select, checkbox
   or radio type, how did you enter the input values?
 * Thank you

 * I have a similar problem. I isolated it to having dots in my description.
    I
   need this to be fixed as my descriptions have dots in them !!
 * The client wants several hose/compressor fitting catalogues, and “fitt.conn.size”
   is the correct name for the property we store.
 * But when I create a custom field using that name, no data is saved. By elimination
   I worked out it was due to the dots.
 * Let me know if there’s a patch.
 * Thanks,
    ~AS.

 * Hi AS,
 * Using periods in the description should not create any issues. However, the product
   name should be HTML compliant. Therefore, periods should not be found within
   the name. We may suggest you using underscores instead of dots.
 * Thank you for your comprehension.
 * Best regards,
