# Cannot update Elementor Pro plugin

 * Hi, I am trying to update the Elementor Pro plugin on my clients website but 
   am getting the error: Upload failed. Unauthorized. When I look at Elementor License,
   it says ‘Missing’ and then when I click ‘check status’ it says Active and then
   when I try to update it gives me the error again and when I go back to License
   it says ‘Missing’ again.
 * My client does not know her license number and so I am hesitant to click Disconnect
   incase I can’t reconnect. I did not build the site originally and she can’t find
   any Elementor Pro details or login details but I need to update the plugin for
   security reasons.
 * Are you able to assist?

 * I’d also suggest you check out Elementor Community Group on Facebook. We have
   created it to connect Elementor users together and share knowledge, [Global Elementor Community](https://www.facebook.com/groups/Elementors).
 * [WordPress.org](https://wordpress.org/) rules state that commercial products 
   are not supported here.
