I am having an issue where I cannot type in the focus keyword box but can update the meta title and description, this is while in wordpress block editor. When I switch to classic editor I don’t see any yoast settings at all.

    Console shows the below

react-dom.min.js?ver=17.0.1:9 Uncaught Error: Minified React error #200; visit https://reactjs.org/docs/error-decoder.html?invariant=200 for the full message or use the non-minified dev environment for full errors and additional helpful warnings.
        at e.render (react-dom.min.js?ver=17.0.1:9:117436)
        at classic-editor.js?ver=aa26410d83de34f45c017e334d586bb0:443:5574
        at window.yoast.initEditorIntegration (classic-editor.js?ver=aa26410d83de34f45c017e334d586bb0:443:5844)
        at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (post-edit.js?ver=baef8c89d2925fa2132ff8459819a3c1:11:3042)

The above error relates to WP 6.0.1 and Yoast SEO 19.1 (I also tried 19.4 to no effect)

  • @wackyracer8 We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue on your site.

Regarding your issue, if you have already confirmed that both Yoast SEO and WordPress are up to date and the issue is still occurring, we would next recommend performing a conflict check to determine whether another plugin or theme is interfering with the Yoast plugin.

The fastest way to do this is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like TwentyTwentyOne.

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check without affecting normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.
