# Cannot update or install plugins after moving wordpress from test folder

 * I moved my wordpress installation from a folder to my root foldeer.
 * Everything works, uploading images and all that…
 * BUT when I try to update plugins it give mes CANNOT CREATE FOLDER : INSTALLATION
   FAILED.
 * I tried to change wp-content plugins and uploads folders to 777, but doesnt change
   a thing.
 * Tried to chown -R www-data:www-data /root folder/* and it tells me that there
   is no such user.
 * I am lost.
 * Help

 * Thank you so much. But i have doubled check everything. Installation is good 
   and running. I have followed all the steps… and the site works just fine at the
   exception of the plugin updating failing.

 * have you checked the error logs? They might provide a clue to whats wrong.
