# Cannot Update WordPress

 * I have an issue while updating WordPress. It won’t allow me to update it to the

 * Permissions issues.
    You would need to go through this doc to resolve:

 * However, I would disable your WordFence plugin first, then try to update.
    It
   would simply be a WordFence setting that is locking down your site with more ‘
   security’.

 * Thank you so much for your response. I already tried to deactivate the Wordfence
   plugin and update WordPress, but still doesn’t work.
