# Cannot upload HTML file

* Hi,
* I am using the professional version (v3.2.1) of the plugin.
* I am unable to upload HTML files, e.g. index.html. Can upload other files, e.
g. autodownload.css using the same upload dialog with no problems. The shortcode
is:
* [wordpress_file_upload uploadpath=”event/2015/horsford-heath” createpath=”true”
uploadrole=”administrator,editor,results” captcha=”true” captchatype=”RecaptchaV2(
no account)”]
* The error message is:
* File index.html not uploaded
Upload failed! File not allowed.
* I tried changing filename to index1.html – still did not upload.
I tried changing
filename to index.txt – file uploaded OK.
* I am sure I have uploaded files of this type before.

* Hi,
* html files are restricted for security reasons. Older versions of the plugin
allowed them, however after a security audit from WordPress I was forced to impose
this restriction.
* You can disable it if you know how to tweak php files.

needs to be changed in the PHP.

so that I can send you a solution to overcome this restriction without requiring
to change the php code. This way the tweak will work even after plugin updates.
