# cannot write posts or access html not plugin or theme issue

 * Hi, I cannot write posts or access html editor. I can title new posts, but not
   write. When I try writing in the textbox, the text is white. So the post is able
   to write, and I am able to highlight text I have written, but I cannot post nor
   change font colour. I also cannot access HTML. I have installed locally. deactivated
   plugins and changed themes. And I am running xampp. Any help would be really 
   appreciated.

 * Have you tried:
    – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem?
   If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic
   plugin(s).
 * – switching to the 2010 theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.
