• I have a site using WordPress and suddenly cannot access the dashboard. Up until today I could go to the site (hosted on LuckyRegister) and there would be the WordPress drop-down menu with the dashboard – pages, posts, widgets, themes, etc. and it was fairly easy to operate – I mostly did blog updates and occasionally posted video links. About an hour ago I suddenly got this error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_taxonomies_for_attachments() in \\PHX3.GDHOSTING.GDG\P3NWHG516\hosting\41\9923641\html\wp-admin\menu.php on line 67

I get the same error if I click on dashboard or any of the sub-items like pages, posts, widgets, etc.

Here is a link to the site: http://davidcravit.com/

The site itself appears to be OK – though extremely slow to load, which is also a new problem – and visitors can access it and read the material. But of course it’s useless if I can’t get in and keep it updated.

    All suggestions welcome, thanks!

  • Hmmmm I have no idea, but give this a try

See if you can make it there after you have logged in. If you can try the re-install button. I’m assuming you haven’t made any core changes to WordPress. If you have and are afraid to lose those then another route may be better.

You could also call your hosting company and see if they have some backups assuming you don’t have backups.
