# Can't access Dashboard – parse error

 * For no apparent reason my WordPress site crashed, displaying all kinds of errors
   and rendering the screen almost completely incomprehensible. After restoring 
   the files and database from backup (made at a definitely 100% functional moment)
   it briefly appeared that everything is back to normal, but not the Dashboard –
   it is completely inaccessible, returning the error
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/content/b/l/u/bluealek/html/
   stazeibogaze/wp-admin/includes/template.php on line 1785
 * whenever I try to access the backend in any way. I’ve read some similar threads
   on this forum, and tried both renaming the plugins folder to plugins.old, and
   the used theme folder to themename.old, but nothing improved. When I remove the
   theme upon trying to access the frontend I just get a blank white screen, and
   trying to access the backend returns the parse error again.
 * Any ideas how to regain control of the site?
 * If it can be of any importance, I have several other WordPress sites running 
   on the same server and hosting plan (and php/mysql environment), and they’re 
   running just fine.

 * I have come online to find out what this problem is as I have it too right now
   and I have no idea what to do or anything else!
    I just tried uploading a new
   theme and now I cannot access my dashboard due to this error
