# can't access localhost/wp-admin

 * hello, i accidently changed within settings->siteurl to something other than 
   localhost. my problem is that i can’t reach my wordpress configurations anymore.
   
   i saw in a post here that i should add 2 lines to my functions.php
 *     ```
       update_option( 'siteurl', 'http://sampleurl.com' );
       update_option( 'home', 'http://sampleurl.com' );
       ```
   
 * but, once i did it, even if i erase those 2 lines i get to [http://sampleurl.com/&#8230](http://sampleurl.com/&#8230);.
   everytime i try to access : localhost/wp-admin.
    if someonce can help me i’d 
   apreciate it A LOT ! i’m stuck on this for few hours already.

 * You have to replace [http://sampleurl.com](http://sampleurl.com) with **your**
   site’s url.

    Try as follows … in bit brief with steps:
 * 1. Go to [http://localhost/phpmyadmin/](http://localhost/phpmyadmin/) -> Your
   database -> edit site url to [http://localhost](http://localhost)
 * 2. Login to wordpress [http://localhost/wp-admin/](http://localhost/wp-admin/)
 * 3. Go to settings -> General -> Check if:
    * WordPress Address (URL)= [http://localhost/](http://localhost/)*
   Site Address (URL)= [http://localhost/](http://localhost/)
 * 4. Go to Setting -> Permalink and then click on save changes
