Hi,

I can’t access my wp dashboard. It says that my username and password are not corresponding. I have the ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED when trying to visit my website.

My website is down everywhere, not only on my computer (so no cookie issues). I’ve tried sending a reset password email, but I do not receive the email.

I do not have access to cPanel because my webhost does not give me access. So if I understand correctly, I can’t deactivate my theme or plugins (to determine if that would be the issue) if I don’t have access to my server files.

Is there any other ways than passing through my webhost php ftp or any other files to determine what would be the issue? Or my webhost has to give me any kind of access (FTP, PHP, etc) for me to solve the issue?

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
