When I try to activate the plugin I receive the message “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error. Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in …/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/docxpresso/plugin.php on line 48.”

    Dear Cliff,

That is bizarre….it is probably an error associated with a particular PHP version or the like.

Nevertheless have you tried to download it again just in case something got rotten on download?

    Hi Eduardo,

Yes I tried deleting then downloading again but had the same result when I tried to activate.

I have a multisite installation. Would that make a difference?

    Thanks,
    Cliff

I do not know if the multisite installation may affect something at this point but the error you are getting is just from the PHP Parser!!

I have just done a free install just to double check and I have not got any problem.

Do you know which is your PHP version?

That was it! I discovered that the site was still using an older version of PHP, 5.2.17. Updated to 5.6.29, then I could activate.

    Thanks much,

    Cliff

If you like the plugin (and the support) a short review would be highly appreciated 🙂
