# Can’t activate after switch to https and/or php 7

 * Hello again,
 * After switching my site over to https, my site slowed way way down, so my host
   suggested that I deactivate and reactivate all of my plugins. So after deactivating
   I also switched over to php7. Now I’m unable to reactivate BuddyExtender. I get
   a 500 error screen and I have to delete the plugin via the cPanel to get to the
   plugins screen.
 * Any help would be appreciated.

 * Honestly very hard to say without some sort of specific error logs. “500 error
   screen” isn’t going to tell us enough exactly what’s going on. If you know how
   to enable error logging for your install, that’ll help out a lot.

 * Sorry for the lack of info; I thought you might be familiar with this issue already
   as soon as I mentioned it. The Error itself says “500 Internal Server Error.”
 * I did manage to get BuddyExtender activated today after deactivating all other
   buddypress plugins (except buddypress and bbpress). But I’m getting the following
   errors when I do:
 * Notice: bp_nav was called incorrectly. The bp_nav and bp_options_nav globals 
   should not be used directly and are deprecated. Please use the BuddyPress nav
   functions instead. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This
   message was added in version 2.6.0.) in /home/XXXXXX/public_html/wp-includes/
   functions.php on line 4137

 * Not seeing any errors specific to BuddyExtender above, and it sounds like you
   were able to get it re-activated. Chances are they’re from other BuddyPress addons
   you may have installed.
 * Sorry, not sure what GitHub ticket you’re referring to at the end there.
