# Can’t choose Shortcode

 * Hi there,
 * I was trying to add a simple HTML section which I can add to the widgets by using
   the shortcode.
 * But I can not choose the shortcode option, it’s always grayed out.
 * Checked all the documentation but can’t seem to find an answer.
 * Any suggestions?

 * It sounds like the toggle to select shortcode mode doesn’t work. This might be
   a conflict with another script loaded in the plugin.
 * Can you please check the [browser console](https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/basics-of-inspect-element-with-your-wordpress-site/#:~:text=Easily%20Find%20Errors%20On%20Your%20Site)
   if you get any errors there when you try to choose “Shortcode”?

 * Sorry for my late reply. I needed to use your plugin with a short code injection
   but still the same thing.

 * From the screenshot it seems that no JS is loaded for WPCode on that page or 
   it’s not running at all. Are you using the latest version of the plugin (2.0.7)?
