# Can’t enter Admin API Key

 * The admin api key field is greyed out and I can’t enter anything to that field.
   How can I change this?

 * It’s possible that a `ALGOLIA_API_KEY` constant has been set in the site’s `wp-
   config.php` for an extra layer of security, like keeping it out of the database.
 * This can be done with any of these, and each would disable the UI field:
 * `ALGOLIA_APPLICATION_ID`
   `ALGOLIA_SEARCH_API_KEY``ALGOLIA_API_KEY``ALGOLIA_INDEX_NAME_PREFIX`
 * Also useful for per-environment and per-user setting.
