 * I’ve activated the plugin, enabled it and saved. Now when I test it and try to
add an item from my shop to my cart, it says it’s been added – but the cart remains
empty. Every item from my store has 1 quantity in stock. The reason I really
need this plugin is I’ve had an issue with multiple people being able to purchase
exclusive items that should only be able to be sold once. Any help with settings
or recommendations would be a big help! I’d love to get this working as soon
   as possible. Thank you!

 * Do you have any other plugins installed? WooCommerce by itself should be keeping
people from buying more than the quantity in stock. This plugin is just to keep
people from adding more than the available number of items into carts.
 * I would go under WooCommerce->System Status->Tools Tab
    and click the button
to “Clear all sessions”. If there are any abandoned carts with those items in
them it could potentially cause issues.

 * Thank you for your prompt reply! I do have other plugins installed. I have been
using woocommerce for my shop for a little over a year now, and if there are
multiple people that go in at the same time and try to buy the same item, sometimes
it allows them to if their payment isn’t already processed. It takes some time
to get to paypal and go through the process, and when I release a new product
email I get a flood of people trying to buy at once. I was hoping this plugin
would eliminate that issue. Since only one of each item is always in stock, they’d
get a “out of stock” warning instead of being able to add the same item someone
else is currently trying to purchase to their cart.
 * I just tried the clear all sessions suggestion, and tried it again – unfortunately
same thing. It’s saying the item is added to the cart, but the cart is showing
empty. As I was testing it, I actually just had a customer email me and say the
same thing just happened to her. Any other suggestions? I am so hoping to get
this up and running! Thank you!

 * Yes this plugin should help with that issue, can you share a screenshot of your
settings page? If you are using expiration with it the added to cart message
should include an expiration time, are you getting that?
 * If you share the URL to the site I would take a look at it. If you don’t want
to share it publicly you can email it to me [james@gnuinter.net](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cant-get-plugin-to-function-correctly/james@gnuinter.net?output_format=md)
 * What version of PHP, WooCommerce, and WordPress are you using? What are the other
   plugins you have installed?

 * Issue resolved in private email. Problem was WooCommerce 2.1.12 was installed
which did not have the wc_get_product function. Upgrading to latest WooCommerce
   resolved the issue.
