 * Hi,
 * I have been trying to go from an XOOPS site that had WordPress running in it,
   as an XOOPS module.
 * Did all the backups, wiped the site, installed 3.1.3, and then used the CSV Importer
   to load the posts. Now, for only 30 posts, there are 154 loaded, and it’s a complete
   mess. Fortunately, I also backed up WP 3.1.3 before the CSV importer.
 * I notice the dashboard has a WP importer, read up a bit, then used the ‘export’
   to see what sort of file is produced. It’s an XML file, ..so here is the big
   question ..
 * Is there an easy method, or a plugin, to convert the SQL of the posts table to
   an XML file that I can them use for the WP import function ?
 * Pete

 * Is there any reason why you couldn’t export to a regular WordPress XML file?
 * If you have the Db SQL file and PHPmyadmin then you can do it manually using
   that, which I think would be the best option rather than using a plugin such
   as CSVimporter.

 * The website is all setup with 3.1.3 and a new db. That said, I was thinking of
   simply over-writing the wp-config.php file with the old db values, as it is still
   there. Then run the export with 3.1.3. Then replace the config file back with
   the original and do the import.

 * I did do a test via phpMyadmin and exported to an XML file, but the format was
   nothing like an exported WP .XML file. Yes, the plugin wasn’t suitable for this
   situation.
