# Can’t install using web interface form

 * I was having trouble installing. So I set permission to 777 in the wordpress 
   folder (although not in the files inside it) and deleted my wp-config.php file
   as recommended in this thread – [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/55854?replies=33](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/55854?replies=33)
 * I got the message saying that the wp-config file was missing, and that I could
   create it using a web interface. So I clicked the link & got to the form where
   I was prompted for my information. I entered the information, and the response
   that I got was:
 * Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started
   at /home/diazdomi/public_html/wordpress/wp-admin/setup-config.php:23) in /home/
   diazdomi/public_html/wordpress/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 310
 * Please advise. Should I wipe everything out and retry installation using this
   approach ?

 * It’s pretty easy to just make a config file from scratch. Have you tried that?

 * Tried moshu’s link – there were no extraneous characters. Then tried setting 
   everything up through cPanel as described here – [http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_cPanel](http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_cPanel).
   When I do it that way, I get the screen that says:
 * Error establishing a database connection
 * This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.
   php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This
   could mean your host’s database server is down.
 *  * Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    * Are you sure that
   you have typed the correct hostname? * Are you sure that the database server 
   is running?
 * If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host.
   If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.
 * I have used the same username (with the cPanel prefix) and password (with the
   prefix) in my config file as I did in cPanel setting it up.

 * No. that wouldn’t work. In none of the tutorials has been ever said something
   like that. The DB user and pw is different than the one for the site management.

 * My host said that there was a problem with my password. They fixed it and it 
   works fine now. Thanks everyone.
