Hi @avantart,
Which host are you using and/or what is your server configuration?
On some servers there is an issue with the upload process to the media library.
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/does-not-work-on-localhost-2/
THis has yet to be resolved.
Apache/2.2.16 (Debian)
Linux 2.6.26-2-xen-amd64
PHP version >= PHP 5.6.1
No OpenSSL support
It’s not a local host, it is a working webserver with a working domain
Cheers, Connie
I was having trouble with the plugin too, I managed to get it to work by setting PHP 7.0 as the current version on my host and, of course, activating the GD extension.
Hope it helps someone
As an experienced user, I check “Server Requirements” before I install a plugin.
There is no mention of any PHP-version which is needed and there is no mention of the Image-Library
GD-library is enabled at my server, PHP is not and the developer is not very helpful, I must say
So, still my installation is not working and I have no PHP 7 version at my server.
it’s not a php version issue. It works on 5.5 – 7.1. Maybe even lower, I haven’t tested.
I don’t have a solution for you so that’s why I’m not being helpful. I’m not a server guy, I built a tool to upload images 😉
In the other thread I sent you there is a reference to the exact function that is likely causing issues.
The only way for me to help you would be to get access to your server and to do that you would need to open a ticket on the website.
Let me know.
Hi!
Well, I checked all causes for the problem in the other thread:
1) it is not a local server, it is a webserver
2) “First of all, check if php-curl module is installed.” YES, it is
3) “Second, my virtual machine was using the wrong date,” DATE IS CORRECT
Problem is:
files are uploaded to temporary server, not added to media server
I am running on a very standard apache, with WORDFENCE security
But: this plugin is not crucial for me, it would have been a nice addon, I won’t poke anyfurther…
goodluck with your plugin,
Connie
