# Can't log into admin — "Cannot modify header information" error

 * I’m unable to log into a blog I manage. When I try to access the admin I receive
   this error.

 * I thought it might be an issue with a plugin, so I deactivated them all. But 
   it didn’t solve the issue. What should I try next?

 * You have unexpected whitespace (either a space or an entire line) on line 117
   of the `wp-load.php` file. See [this guide](https://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_do_I_solve_the_Headers_already_sent_warning_problem.3F)
   for more info.
 * Alternatively, replacing the file with one from a fresh download may resolve 
   the issue.

 * Thanks! That worked. It was an entire line. I had to remove a line in `wp-config.
   php` as well. Appreciate your help.

 * I uploaded a plugin that causes this error but when I disable plugin and deleted
   it the problem still exist. Don’t know what to do next. I also cant login in

 * I’m having very similar issues. I was making some changes to an existing WP install
   for a client who had an out-of-date WP install and theme and installed WPIDE,
   CONTACT FORM 7 & FLAMINGO plugins. Even with plugins deactivated I can’t access
   wp-admin either. I could really use some help sorting out what’s going on.

 * The post above from Dwarehado with `<?php ob_start();` worked! The front end 
   was loading up but the admin was not. after applying the “ob_start” session, 
   all is good!
 * I hope it helps more people.
