Can’t login to admin panel

    I am new to this so I hope I don’t sound dumb. I nstalled the newest version of WP by following the instructions on the readme file. The installation went well. At the end of the install when it’s supposed to bring you to the login page, I enter the username and password supplied to me clicked to login and I get this message:

    I can however view the main page with no problems:
    http:hercomm.com/wpgames

    I also checked the tables in MySQL and everything was installed properly. I researched some possible sollutions but I don’t know what I’m looking at. Please forgive me if I sound ignorant but I’m doing the best I can. I checked and re-checked the config file and everything to me looks OK. Need help.

    It’s likely going to be a plugin conflict unless this was a brand new fresh install. If that’s the case, I assume you have the plugins on your computer – ftp to the plugins folder and delete them and try logging in. Reinstall one by one, testing in between.

    If this is a fresh install, I would upload the admin files again and try it.

    Thanks for the reply. Yes it is a fresh install. I did everything you said and I get the same response.
