# can't move site without errors…

 * So I changed my URLS in the setting, and then move all the folders to the root
   folder….When I do this is what I come up with..

 * The “test site” exactly how its supposed to be is capitalplasticsco.com/newsite/
   wordpress
 * I’m trying to make it just capitalplasticsco.com but I’m obviously doing something
   wrong….Not everything gets moved correctly for some reason…Please help.

 * You will also need to change all the url in the database.
    The easiest way to
   do this is to your this search and replace tool – [http://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/](http://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/)
 * and do a search for
    capitalplasticsco.com/newsite/wordpress
 * and replace it with
 * capitalplasticsco.com/wordpress
 * That should do the trick.

 * So I did that and long story short, everything got completely messed up..I’ve
   tried to move everything back the best I can but now the site isn’t even linking
   to how it was originally…
 * the site subpage (which was set up and good to go) was: Capitalplasticsco.com/
   newsite/wordpress
 * Now it’s still linking to capitalplasticsco.com in some places, and not getting
   the files correct….If you view the source it looks like most of my stuff is actually
   there, it’s just not showing up…
 * I can however still login to word press and edit anything without any problems…
 * I appreciate the help, thank you!

 * Also just to add to that I think I accidently replaced it with capitalplasticsco.
   com and then when I tried to switch it back it switched EVERYTHING, so now that’s
   why it’s completely jacked up..
