# Can't Post Comments – HELP Please

 * I had this message before I downloaded the Word Press 3.8.1 . I had hoped that
   the new download would fix this, but nope.
 * I have all fresh updates installed so I hope someone can help me solve this aggravation

 * It would help if you listed out what theme you are using and a link to your blog.
   Also, what have you tried to do so far?
 * First go to the Settings section of your blogs dashboard. Find the Discussions
   section and review your preferences for Other Comment Settings. Perhaps one of
   these settings should be adjusted.

 * I did go to settings (before I posted) and turned everything to the on position
   as far as comments etc .

 * Your archive shows that the more recent post was from last year. My guess is 
   that in the Other Comment Settings section the default 14 days is in effect and
   needs to be deselected.
 * It would be the third one down and say:
    Automatically close comments on articles
   older than 14 days
 * That one would need to be turned off if it is on. Otherwise it is hard to help
   with out knowing your theme and any comment plugins you are using.

 * Well its probably been about a year since comments where allowed. The
    ‘Automatically
   close comments box is unchecked’
 * I wish this could be solved, as spring is coming
